Mário Pereira, the new Chief Commercial Officer (CCO) of Avalon, was recently interviewed by Mobility Plaza about the company’s ambitious plans for international growth ahead of Forecourttech 2024, an important event for the fuel retail industry.

As Avalon gets ready for Forecourttech 2024, they have clear goals: strengthen existing relationships, connect with new customers, and keep up with innovations in the fuel retail sector. Mário explains, “Our objective is to consolidate previous customer interactions from past events and, whenever possible, meet up with new customers.” He highlights the importance of building relationships at the event, which helps support business growth and provides valuable insights for Avalon’s research and development (R&D). “These events allow us to be aware of the latest market trends that we can share with our R&D teams and product managers,” he adds.

Avalon’s strategy is based on its experience, especially in Spanish-speaking markets like Spain, Mexico, and Central America. However, the company is now focusing on expanding into key markets in North and West Africa, Eastern Europe, and South America. Mário shares, “The plan is to build a sales team and partnerships in those regions to help us market our solutions,” showing Avalon’s proactive approach to international growth. With years of industry knowledge behind its offerings, Avalon is ready to meet the diverse needs of both developed and emerging markets.

Reflecting on their recent participation in trade shows like UNITI Expo in Germany, Mário notes, “The feedback we got from the market was amazing, but we need to turn these positive impressions into real business opportunities.” With many attendees at Forecourttech already familiar with Avalon’s solutions, the company sees this year as a chance to gain new business and strengthen its reputation. “We are confident that we will capture more business opportunities and new customers because of the high quality of our solutions,” he emphasizes, showing Avalon’s commitment to growth and industry leadership.
